TRAINING, EXERCISE AND GROOMING REQUIREMENTS

16. A new puppy can be time consuming and distracting to the normal routine. Do you have the time to meet the demanding needs of a puppy/dog for feeding, training and exercise/play time? *
17. What is your attitude towards training and obedience? Dalmatians require both mental and physical stimulations. (This can include puppy school, obedience training, agility or conformation events?) *
18. Please describe how you would meet the grooming needs for a Dalmatian? This includes regular bathing, brushing, weekly nail trimming, eye/ear cleaning etc. *
19. Dalmatians require a clean living environment, due to their sensitive skin and potential allergies. Please describe how you are committed in providing your dog a healthy, safe and clean environment? *

BREED RELATED HEALTH RISKS AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

20. Deafness can be a low health risk in Dalmatians. Breeders aim to avoid this with completing full DNA profile testing on parents, to ensure they don't carry the gene. However, some puppies can be born deaf (bilaterally or unilaterally). Would this be something you could manage? *
21. Urinary Stones can be a high health risk in Dalmatians. All Dalmatians carry the Hyperuricosuria (HUU) gene in their DNA. Have you done any research into this? *
22. The recommended diet to avoid risk of Urinary Stones, is a raw-fed diet. Preferably homemade, as commercial foods contain high purine levels and preservatives. Are you committed in providing a raw-fed diet to your Dalmatian? *
